Technical Description

The 2012 Ganesh VFM6328B is a 3-axis large-format vertical machining center manufactured by Ganesh Machinery and distributed in North America by Expand Machinery as the Gen Mill 6328. The VFM6328B is Ganesh's largest VMC offering, featuring a 63-inch X-axis travel suited to long mold bases, aerospace structural parts, and heavy production components. The machine provides X, Y, and Z travels of 63, 28.34, and 27.56 inches respectively, with a 68.8 x 27.56-inch worktable supporting up to 3,397 lbs at full accuracy. The CAT-40 beltless inline direct-drive spindle operates to 12,000 RPM with 20 HP continuous power and 90 ft-lb torque at 1,500 RPM, providing strong cutting performance across steel and aluminum workpieces. Through-spindle coolant at 300 PSI is standard. A 40-station twin-arm automatic tool changer supports complex multi-tool machining cycles. Rapid traverse rates of 984 IPM ensure efficient cycle times across the full travel envelope. CNC motion control is provided by the Mitsubishi M700 system. The VFM6328B is well suited to long aerospace parts, large mold cavities, and production fixtures requiring a large-format VMC with direct-drive spindle performance.
