2016 GANESH VFM2818 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2016 Ganesh VFM2818 is a 3-axis vertical machining center manufactured by Ganesh Machinery and distributed in North America by Expand Machinery as the Gen Mill 2818. The VFM2818 delivers X, Y, and Z travels of 27.95, 17.72, and 18.11 inches respectively, with a 29.92 x 16.53-inch worktable supporting up to 2,205 lbs. The CAT-40 spindle operates to 12,000 RPM with 15 HP continuous (S3) rating through an inline direct-drive design, providing strong high-speed performance for aluminum, non-ferrous alloys, and precision steel work. Through-spindle coolant at 300 PSI is standard, enabling deep cavity and high-speed machining applications. A 24-tool automatic tool changer supports multi-operation setups. CNC motion control is provided by the Mitsubishi M720 system, with Fanuc 0i-MD available on some configurations. The VFM2818's combination of high-speed direct-drive spindle, generous travels for its footprint class, and through-spindle coolant makes it a capable production VMC for precision component manufacturing in job shop and contract machining environments.
