Technical Description

The 1988 Haas VF1 is a 3-axis vertical machining center and one of the cornerstone models in the Haas VF series — a lineup that helped establish Haas Automation as the leading American builder of CNC vertical machining centers. As a 1988 vintage machine, this unit is among the earliest production Haas VF1s — one of the first CNC vertical machining centers manufactured by Haas Automation — and represents a significant piece of American machine tool history. Control hardware, software revision, and mechanical wear should be carefully evaluated; replacement parts and support for this vintage may be limited. Axis travels measure 20" in X, 16" in Y, and 20" in Z. The worktable measures 24" x 16" and accepts standard T-slot fixturing.
