The VS-1 provides axis travels of 100 inches in X, 50 inches in Y, and 50 inches in Z, supported by a 102-by-49-inch table with a maximum load capacity of 10,000 pounds. A CAT/BT 50-taper spindle is driven through a two-speed gearbox and rated at 30 HP continuous, with a high-performance 60 HP optional spindle available for demanding cutting applications. Maximum spindle speed is 7,500 RPM in the standard configuration, suitable for large-diameter face mills, boring bars, and heavy roughing tools commonly used in large-part machining. The machine's column assembly and table assembly ship separately due to the machine's overall footprint, reflecting the scale of this platform relative to conventional VMCs.
