The J&M TL1000E Manual Lathe is a heavy-duty engine lathe designed for demanding turning applications, offering robust construction and high precision. With a maximum swing over bed of 39.37 inches (1000 mm) and a swing over cross slide of 24.41 inches (620 mm), this lathe accommodates large workpieces, supporting a maximum weight of up to 8 metric tons. The spindle features a bore diameter of 5.12 inches (130 mm), enabling the machining of long bar stock and large-diameter components. The lathe provides a wide range of spindle speeds, typically from 3.15 to 315 rpm (forward) and 2.5 to 250 rpm (reverse), with 21 forward and 12 reverse speed options, ensuring versatility across various materials and operations. It supports both metric and imperial threading, offering 44 kinds of metric threads (1–120 mm) and 31 kinds of inch threads (1/4–24 T.P.I.).
