Technical Description
The Mazak INTEGREX e-420H II is a multi-tasking machine for heavy, large-diameter shaft work. It combines a turning spindle with a B-axis milling spindle to turn, mill, bore and drill in one setup, with 5-axis simultaneous machining. This row covers the 3000U bed, which gives a maximum machining length of 120.47 in (3,060 mm). Maximum swing and maximum machining diameter are both 26.38 in (670 mm). The main spindle is an integral spindle/motor that carries a 10 in chuck, runs to 4,000 rpm and is rated 40 hp (30 kW) at 30 minutes. A C-axis brake gives fast positioning. The milling spindle has 240 degrees of B-axis travel, reaches 12,000 rpm and is rated 30 hp (22 kW) at its 15-minute rating. The standard tool magazine holds 40 tools, with 80 and 120 tool magazines available, and No. 40, Capto C6 or HSK-T63 tooling can be specified. Axis travels on the 3000U bed are 33.27 in X, 16.54 in Y and 122.56 in Z. An automatic steady rest is optional for supporting long parts during machining. The same model is also built on a 1500U bed with a 60.24 in machining length.
