Technical Description
The Mazak INTEGREX e-670H is a large multi-tasking machine in the INTEGREX e-H series, built for DONE IN ONE processing of heavy shafts and large-diameter chuck work. It uses a traveling-column design with orthogonal X and Y axes, a 240-degree B-axis milling spindle and full C-axis control of the turning spindle, so turning, milling, drilling, tapping and 5-axis contouring are carried out in one setup. The 120 in designation corresponds to the 3000U bed, which gives a maximum machining length of 119.53 in. The second-generation e-670H-II, introduced at IMTS 2012, offers a maximum machining diameter of 42.13 in and a 26.37 in Y-axis stroke. Its turning spindle is rated 60 HP (45 kW, 30-minute) with a top speed of 1,600 rpm, and the No. 50 taper integral-motor milling spindle delivers 50 HP (37 kW) at up to 10,000 rpm. A standard 40-tool magazine, with 80- and 120-tool options, holds turning, milling and drilling tools, and the ATC handles boring bars up to 40 in long. Chuck parts up to 13,228 lb are supported, and an NC tailstock steadies long shaft work. Options include a long boring bar system, a U-axis facing tool and a four-clamp rigid tool holder system. Typical applications are aerospace, energy, oil and gas, construction machinery and marine components.
