Technical Description

The Mazak QUICK TURN 200MY is an 8-inch-chuck CNC turning center from Mazak's QUICK TURN series, in the M (milling) and Y (Y-axis) configuration. It has a single main spindle with a maximum speed of 5,000 rpm and a spindle motor rated 26 kW (35 hp) on the 30-minute rating. Bar work capacity is 3 in. The machine offers a maximum swing of 27 in, a maximum machining diameter of 14.75 in and a maximum machining length of 21.28 in. Tooling is carried on a 12-position turret with rotary tool capability for milling, drilling and tapping operations, so parts that would otherwise need a second setup on a machining center can be finished on the lathe. The Y-axis allows off-center milling and drilling on the part face and diameter. Axis strokes are 9 in in X, 4 in in Y and 23 in in Z. The QUICK TURN 200MY sits between the plain QUICK TURN 200M (milling without Y-axis) and the QUICK TURN 200MSY, which adds a second spindle, and it shares its 8-inch chuck size and machining envelope with those models. It is intended for small to medium shaft and chucking work in job shops and production cells.
