Technical Description
The Mazak QUICK TURN SMART 200 on the 500U bed is a two-axis CNC turning center from the QUICK TURN SMART series, which uses the MAZATROL SMART control with conversational MAZATROL and EIA/ISO programming. It carries an 8 in chuck on an A2-6 spindle nose, with a 76 mm (2.99 in) spindle bore and a 65 mm bar work capacity with the optional chuck. The integral main spindle motor is rated 15 kW (20 hp) for 30 minutes and 11 kW continuous, with a stepless range up to 5,000 rpm. Maximum swing is 660 mm (26 in), maximum machining diameter is 350 mm (13.78 in) and maximum machining length is 538 mm (21.18 in). A 12-position bolt-on drum turret holds 12 tools with 25 mm shanks and 40 mm boring bars and indexes in 0.17 seconds per step. Travels are 195 mm in X and 560 mm in Z, with rapid traverse of 30 m/min in X and 33 m/min in Z. A CNC programmable tailstock with 565 mm stroke is standard. The machine needs 23.3 kVA, stands 1,700 mm high, occupies 2,630 x 1,680 mm of floor space and weighs 4,700 kg (10,362 lb).
