The MIYANO BNA-42S is a high-precision horizontal machining center featuring a main spindle with a maximum turning diameter of 5.000" and a turning length of up to 3.930". It accommodates a bar diameter max of 1.650" through a 5.000" diameter chuck. The machine is equipped with two 10 HP main spindles and a 7.5 HP sub spindle, all capable of reaching 5,000 RPM, offering simultaneous back and front machining capabilities. The primary tool carrier is a 2-sided turret supporting up to 16 turning tools and 8 rotary tools, with rotary tools delivering 3.7 HP and 5,000 RPM. The machine supports the use of two cutting tools simultaneously, enhancing productivity. This machining center operates across three axes with travel distances of 5.320" (X-axis), 9.250" (Z-axis), and a Y-axis feeding capability, all delivering rapid traversal and maximum feed rates of 707 inches per minute for precise and efficient machining. Its robust construction includes Miyano’s legendary box ways for rigidity, ensuring high repeatability and accuracy. The BNA-42S features advanced CNC control with precise incremental indexing (1 degree for spindle indexing) and facilitates complex operations including live tooling and simultaneous multi-tool cutting.
