Technical Description

The Nakamura-Tome TW-10 is a high-performance horizontal machining center featuring opposed twin spindles and twin turrets for maximum flexibility and productivity. Each main spindle delivers up to 10 HP and can reach speeds of 5,500 RPM, with a maximum turning diameter of 8.270" and a turning length of 6.100". The chuck diameter is 6.000", and the maximum bar diameter supported is 1.630". The machine is equipped with two turrets, each capable of holding up to 24 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, allowing for a total of 48 tool stations. Rotary tools provide up to 5 HP and 6,000 RPM for milling and drilling operations. The TW-10 supports simultaneous cutting with two tools and includes standard secondary mill/drill functions with C-axis capability. The machine operates on a 4-axis system, with X-axis travel of 7.090" and Z-axis travel of 7.870". All axes offer rapid traverse rates of 630 ipm, ensuring fast positioning and efficient cycle times. Designed for precision and versatility, the TW-10 is ideal for complex, high-volume turning and milling applications in demanding production environments.
