The PROKING PKB-120 Manual Lathe is a heavy-duty engine lathe engineered for demanding turning applications, featuring a robust one-piece bed with 4 shear bed ways and dual way center guide for exceptional rigidity and stability. The lathe offers a swing over bed of 120.5 inches (3,060 mm), enabling the machining of large diameter workpieces, and a swing over cross slide of 2,480 mm (97.64 inches) with the long carriage, or 2,700 mm (106.3 inches) with the short carriage. Distance between centers is adjustable from 3,000 mm (120 inches) up to 12,000 mm (480 inches) in 40-inch increments, accommodating a wide range of part lengths. The spindle nose is A2-15 to A2-40, with a spindle bore ranging from 9 inches to 32 inches, allowing for versatile workholding and bar feeding options. The standard spindle motor delivers 50 HP, with optional upgrades available for higher power requirements. The lathe is equipped with a totally enclosed universal inch/metric gear box, a carriage position device, and a pressurized one-shot lubrication system for reliable operation and extended machine life. Hardened and ground ways ensure precision and durability, while the alloy steel spindle provides high torque and accuracy. The PKB-120 features a 6-way rapid traverse and power feed to the top slide, enhancing productivity and operator convenience.
