The PROKING PKB-140 is a heavy-duty manual lathe engineered for precision machining of hard materials, featuring a robust one-piece cast bed with a symmetrical structure that ensures rigidity during cutting operations. With a 140.2-inch swing capacity and swing over cross slide of 2,980mm (117.32 inches) on the long carriage configuration, this machine accommodates large workpieces. The lathe provides distance between centers ranging from 3,000mm to 12,000mm in 40-inch increments, offering versatile workholding capabilities. Equipped with a standard 50 HP dual voltage spindle motor and optionally available up to 200 HP, the PKB-140 features a spindle bore of 9"-32" with A2-15 to A2-40 spindle nose compatibility. The bed incorporates a 4-way shear bed design with dual way center guides and front lateral way support for enhanced carriage stability under cutting loads. Variable spindle speeds are delivered through four automatic ranges via a totally enclosed universal inch/metric gearbox. Standard accessories include a hydraulic H4 turret, rotatory tailstock quill with 235mm diameter, and motorized tailstock body and quill movement for enhanced operational efficiency. The machine features a 6-way rapid traverse and power feed to the top slide, coupled with a pressurized one-shot lubrication system for the cross slide and carriage. Control options include FANUC, FAGOR, or SIEMENS CNC systems, making this lathe suitable for demanding production environments requiring precision and reliability.
