The SAN SHING SE-3280 Manual Lathe is a heavy-duty precision engine lathe designed for demanding industrial turning applications. With a 32-inch swing and 80-inch center distance, it provides ample capacity for large workpieces. The lathe features a robust, heavily ribbed wide bed with induction-hardened and precision-ground ways, ensuring exceptional rigidity and accuracy during heavy cutting operations. The main spindle is large diameter and precision-ground, supported at three points by high-precision bearings, and includes a 3.125-inch (80 mm) through-bore for handling long bar stock. The machine is powered by a 10 horsepower main motor, delivering strong torque for efficient material removal. Spindle speeds range up to 1,000 RPM, with 12 speed changes available for optimal control across various materials and operations. The lathe also offers a swing over the cross slide of 23.5 inches, allowing for versatile setup and tooling configurations. The apron and carriage are equipped with a readily adjustable overload safety device and dual manual and automatic lubrication for smooth slide surface operation.
