Technical Description

The SORALUCE FL Horizontal Boring Mill is a high-performance machine designed for precision machining, featuring a fixed horizontal boring head with a compact orthogonal head capable of indexing at 1º x 1º. It is constructed from full cast iron and optimized using the Finite Element Method (FEM) for superior stiffness, anti-vibration, and long-lasting mechanical stability. Key technical specifications include a Y-Vertical Travel of Head of 86.6 inches and a Z-Spindle Travel of 51.2 inches. The machine offers multiple power options, including 49.6 hp (Technical Specs) or selectable power options ranging from 32 kW to 46 kW (AI Data), and provides high spindle speeds up to 7000 min⁻¹ via a high-torque direct-drive spindle motor with a built-in cooling system. Features enhancing productivity include automatic tool and head changing, automatic indexing of vertical and horizontal articulations, and rapid traverse rates up to 35,000 mm/min.
