With a 52-inch swing over the bed and a 60-inch center distance, this lathe provides ample capacity for large workpieces. The spindle features a generous 6.09-inch through-bore, allowing for the machining of long, hollow components. Constructed with a fully ribbed, closed-grain cast iron bed that is induction hardened and precision ground, the lathe delivers exceptional rigidity, stability, and accuracy. The headstock is dynamically balanced and equipped with anti-friction mounted shafts, a forged chrome alloy spindle, and three precision bearings for smooth, reliable operation. The lathe comes standard with a clutched headstock, a quick-change gearbox for American (inch), metric, and module threading, and a rapid traverse carriage controlled by a 4-way joystick. Additional standard features include a 2-speed tailstock, thread dial, steady rest, follow rest, coolant system, taper attachment, work light, full-length splash guard, and both 3- and 4-jaw chucks. The wide 27.5-inch bed and cross-ribbed headstock further enhance strength and minimize vibration.
