Technical Description

The SUMMIT HBM110 Horizontal Boring Mill is a robust machine featuring a 4.30-inch spindle diameter with a #50 NMT taper. It is powered by a 20 HP main drive motor operating at 220V, 3 Phase, 60 Hz, and offers a variable spindle speed range of 20 to 1,500 RPM. The machine provides extensive travel capacities: 63.00 inches for the X-Horizontal Travel of the table, 39.41 inches for the Y-Vertical Travel of the head, and 16 inches of Z-Axis spindle travel. The saddle (W-Axis) travel is 49.2 inches. The table dimensions are 39.4 inches by 31.5 inches, capable of handling a maximum load of 5,500 lbs. It includes a built-in rotary table with 360° rotation in 1° increments. Rapid traverse rates reach 110 IPM for the X, Y, and W axes. Key features include precision hardened and ground bedways, precision ground ballscrews with preloaded double nuts on the X, W, and Z axes, a fully automatic lubrication system, and state-of-the-art electrics with PLC control.
