Technical Description

The SUMMIT HBM110 H is a robust Horizontal Boring Mill featuring a 4.30-inch (109.22 mm) spindle with a #50 taper and a variable speed range of 20 to 1,500 RPM. The machine is powered by a 20 HP main drive motor. Its working envelope includes a 63-inch (1,600.2 mm) cross travel (X-axis), a 39.4-inch (1,000.8 mm) headstock vertical travel (Y-axis), and 16-inch (406.4 mm) spindle travel (Z-axis). The machine is equipped with a 31.5" x 39.4" table capable of handling workpieces up to 5,500 lbs and includes a built-in rotary table with 360° rotation. Features include precision hardened and ground bedways, ground ballscrews on the X, W, and Z axes, a fully automatic lubrication system, and hydraulic clamping on the X, Y, and W axes. Traverse rates are approximately 110-113 IPM for the X, Y, and W axes. The machine utilizes state-of-the-art electrics with PLC control and includes a three/four axis electronic DRO. The approximate overall weight of this industrial machine is 27,500 lbs.
