The Tongtai MT-1500 is a dual-spindle, dual-turret horizontal machining center designed for high-efficiency, precision turning operations. It features two main spindles, each with a maximum turning diameter of 8.26 inches and a maximum turning length of 5.7 inches, capable of speeds up to 4,500 RPM standard, with optional upgrades to 6,000 RPM. Each spindle is powered by a 15 HP motor. The machine is equipped with two turrets, left and right, each capable of holding up to 12 turning and 12 rotary tools, allowing simultaneous use of two cutting tools to maximize productivity. The MT-1500 supports 4-axis machining as standard, with options for 6-axis control to enhance versatility for complex parts. Axis travels are 6.1 inches in X, Y, and Z directions, with rapid traverse rates up to 1,181 inches per minute and maximum feed rates of 197 inches per minute.
