The Tongtai MT-2000 Horizontal Machining Center is a high-performance CNC lathe designed for precision multitasking operations. Featuring dual main spindles, each with a maximum turning diameter of 8.26" and a turning length of 5.70", the machine delivers efficient simultaneous machining on both ends of the workpiece. Each spindle is equipped with an 8" chuck, supports a maximum swing of 8.26", and operates at up to 4,500 RPM with a 20 HP motor, with an optional 3,000 RPM setting for specific applications. The machine is outfitted with two independent turrets—left and right—each capable of holding up to 12 turning tools and 12 rotary tools, enabling complex turning and milling operations. Rotary tools offer up to 7.5 HP and 5,000 RPM for high-speed milling. The MT-2000 supports up to 4 axes as standard, with options for 6-axis configurations, allowing for advanced contouring and simultaneous cutting with up to two tools. Axis travel is 6.1" on both X and Z, with rapid traverse rates of 1,181 ipm and maximum feed rates of 197 ipm on all axes.
