The lathe features a large 4.13-inch spindle bore, allowing for the passage of substantial bar stock, and a D1-11 spindle nose for secure workholding. Its hardened and precision-ground chromium molybdenum steel gears in the headstock, combined with hardened and ground bed ways, ensure long-term accuracy and durability. The Meehanite casting bed provides excellent vibration damping and structural stability. The spindle speed is adjustable across 12 steps, ranging from 15 to 1,200 RPM, offering flexibility for a wide range of materials and operations. The machine’s swing over the bed is 21.97 inches, with a swing over the cross slide of 14.13 inches, and a distance between centers of 40 inches, accommodating medium to large workpieces.
