The VICTOR S2260S is a precision heavy-duty manual lathe engineered for efficient turning of substantial workpieces. This machine features a 21.97-inch swing with 60 inches between centers, accommodating large-diameter and long-length components. The robust 4.13-inch spindle bore with D1-11 spindle nose provides secure workholding and tool attachment flexibility. Powered by a 15 HP main motor, the lathe delivers maximum spindle speeds up to 1,200 RPM across 12 selectable speed steps (15, 25, 35, 50, 85, 120, 160, 265, 375, 520, 860, and 1,200 RPM), enabling precise speed control for diverse materials and operations. The swing over cross slide reaches 14.13 inches, maximizing usable work envelope for various machining tasks. Construction incorporates hardened and precision ground chromium molybdenum steel gears in the headstock, a Meehanite casting bed with hardened and ground ways, and induction-hardened cross slides, ensuring superior rigidity and dimensional accuracy. Threading capabilities span 2-112 TPI for inch threads and 0.2-14mm for metric threads across 60 kinds each through a universal inch/metric gearbox.
