Technical Description

The ZPS (Tajmac-ZPS) TCH 500 DOUBLE is a 5-axis twin-turret CNC turning center with secondary milling and drilling capability, designed for shaft-type and flange-type components from piece material or bar stock. Maximum main-spindle turning diameter is 21.45 in. and maximum turning length is 43.37 in., with a 10 in. chuck (12 in. optional). The main spindle reaches 3,200 rpm on a 55 hp motor. Two independent turrets each carry up to 12 turning and 12 rotary tool positions, allowing two tools to cut simultaneously for higher productivity. Axis travel is 14.96 in. on both X and Z. The control is a SINUMERIK 840D. The 'DOUBLE' designation reflects its dual-spindle, dual-turret configuration within Tajmac-ZPS's TCH turning center series.
