The 2002 FANUC S500IB is a six-axis articulated CNC robot designed for high-speed applications including dispensing, machine loading, material handling, material removal, and part transfer. It features a 15 kg payload capacity, a 2757 mm horizontal reach, and a repeatability of ±0.1500 mm. The mechanical unit weighs approximately 610 kg and supports floor, inverted, and angle mounting configurations. Powered by brushless AC servo motors and RV speed reducers, the robot utilizes a slender arm design with cables routed through hollow joints to minimize interference and increase part access. Motion speeds for the axes are 170°/s for J1 and J2, 200°/s for J3, 335°/s for J4, 360°/s for J5, and 600°/s for J6.
