The 2009 Fadal MAG 4020 FX is a vertical machining center equipped with FANUC OI CNC controls and a 4th axis Tsudakoma RNA-250R indexer with tailstock. The machine features a 48 inch by 20 inch table with a maximum weight capacity of 3300 lbs. Its travel dimensions are 40 inches on the X-axis, 20 inches on the Y-axis, and 20 inches on the Z-axis. The spindle is powered by a 15 HP high torque motor, utilizes a CAT 40 taper, and operates within a speed range of 60 to 10,000 RPM. Rapid traverse rates for the X, Y, and Z axes are 900 inches per minute, with a cutting feedrate of 400 inches per minute. The system includes a 21-station automatic tool changer compatible with CAT 40 taper tools.
