THE MACHINE OFFERS A VARIABLE SPEED RANGE FROM 60 TO 4,200 RPM, MANAGED THROUGH A HIGH-LOW RANGE SWITCH AND A VARIABLE SPEED DIAL. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS INCLUDE A LONGITUDINAL TRAVEL OF 32 INCHES, CROSS TRAVEL OF 12 INCHES, AND A 5-INCH QUILL TRAVEL. THE SPINDLE CONSTRUCTION UTILIZES A 2J HEAD WITH A PATENTED AIR-COOLING SYSTEM DESIGNED TO MINIMIZE HEAT BUILDUP IN THE BEARINGS AND BELT HOUSING. PRECISION IS SUPPORTED BY CHROME-PLATED WAYS AND GIBS, WHICH ARE HAND-SCRAPED TO ENSURE ACCURATE GEOMETRY AND RIGIDITY.
