The 2019 Bridgeport GX480 is a 3-axis vertical machining center produced by Hardinge Inc. under the Bridgeport brand, continuing the proven GX480 platform with updated CNC control electronics. The machine features a 23.6-inch by 15.75-inch worktable with a table load capacity of 661 lbs and a 20-tool swing-arm automatic tool changer with a No. 40 spindle taper. The spindle motor delivers 10 HP at a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM, enabling efficient high-speed machining of aluminum, light alloys, and mild steel. X-axis travel is 18.9 inches, Y-axis travel is 15.75 inches, and Z-axis travel is 16.93 inches. The 2019 variant is equipped with a Fanuc 0i-MD CNC control, the successor to the 0i-MC, providing enhanced high-speed contouring capability, rigid tapping, and improved servo parameter optimization.
