Technical Description
The 2014 DMG MORI SEIKI DMF 360 LINEAR is a 3-axis large-format vertical machining center with linear direct drives, engineered for high-accuracy machining of very large workpieces in aerospace, power generation, automotive, and heavy equipment manufacturing. The fixed gantry architecture with longitudinal bed supports a worktable measuring 165.4 inches by 43.3 inches, providing exceptional capacity for large mold bases, structural components, and heavy fabrications. Linear drives across all three axes enable rapid traverse of up to 80 m/min, with direct linear scale measurement maintaining positioning accuracy over the full axis range. The motor spindle delivers 32 kW of continuous power at speeds up to 10,000 RPM via an HSK-A100 or SK 50 taper, with optional spindle packages extending to 18,000 RPM for high-speed finishing. Axis travels of 141.7 inches (X), 43.3 inches (Y), and 35.4 inches (Z) accommodate the largest structural and tooling components in this machine class. The CNC system is Siemens 840D sl with CELOS or optionally Heidenhain iTNC 530. Integrated chip management, high-pressure coolant, and thermal error compensation support unattended production across extended shifts. The DMF 360 LINEAR is a high-capacity platform for aerospace structural components, large die and mold tools, and energy sector component machining.
