The 2012 Fadal EMC is a 3-axis vertical machining center produced by MAG Industrial Automation Systems under the Fadal brand. Built on the VMC4020 platform, the EMC features a CAT40 taper spindle with 15 HP continuous power. Axis travels are 30 inches in X, 16 inches in Y, and 20 inches in Z with a 30 by 16-inch work table. Optional high-speed spindle configurations are available up to 20,000 RPM for aluminum and non-ferrous machining. Standard spindle speed is 7,500 RPM. Machine control is the Fadal CNC 88HS Plus (or Siemens 840D sl on select configurations), providing full G-code, canned cycle, and macro programming support. The EMC is built at Fadal's Chatsworth, California facility with the same box-way construction and rigidity that defined earlier Fadal VMCs. The 21-tool automatic tool changer enables multi-operation production cycles without manual intervention. Machine weight is approximately 18,000 lbs. The Fadal EMC is a well-regarded production machining center in the North American job shop market, backed by extensive tooling and support infrastructure for the Fadal platform.
