A+Technical Description
The 2018 Fadal EMC is a 3-axis vertical machining center representing Fadal Engineering's current-generation Enhanced Machining Center platform. The machine is built on a rigid cast-iron VMC4020 frame with box-way construction for high rigidity and vibration damping during heavy production cuts. The CAT40 taper spindle delivers 15 HP of continuous power at standard speeds up to 7,500 RPM, with optional high-speed spindle packages available at 10,000, 15,000, or 20,000 RPM for aluminum and non-ferrous work. Axis travels are 30 inches in X, 16 inches in Y, and 20 inches in Z, with a 30 by 16-inch work table. Machine control is the Fadal CNC 88HS Plus, Fadal's proprietary conversational and ISO G-code CNC platform that is widely used and well-supported in North American production shops. The 21-tool automatic tool changer supports extended unattended production cycles, and the machine is 4th-axis ready. Machine weight is approximately 18,000 lbs. The Fadal EMC is a trusted production machining center known for its robust construction, parts availability, and the large installed base of Fadal expertise in North American job shops and manufacturing facilities.
