A+Technical Description
The 2005 FANUC ROBODRILL ALPHA T21IFL is a 3-axis compact drilling, tapping, and milling center from the FANUC RoboDrill alpha T21iFL series, the long-bed F-generation RoboDrill. The T21iFL bridges the T-series and D-series generations, incorporating updated servo drives and the FANUC 31i-series CNC while retaining BT30 tooling compatibility. The extended L-size 850 x 410 mm worktable accommodates workpieces up to 300 kg within 700 mm X, 400 mm Y, and 330 mm Z travels, making it well-suited for elongated components and multi-part fixtures. The BT30 spindle operates at up to 10,000 RPM standard, with a 24,000 RPM high-speed spindle option available. Rigid tapping is standard. A 21-tool arm-type ATC provides fast, reliable tool changes, and rapid traverse rates keep non-cutting time to a minimum. The FANUC 31i-A5 CNC provides comprehensive G-code, macro B, and contouring capability. Continuous spindle power is approximately 7.4 HP. Machine weight is approximately 4,630 lbs and overall dimensions are roughly 83 inches long by 80 inches wide by 92 inches tall. The T21iFL's combination of long-bed capacity, high spindle speed, and fast cycle time makes it a versatile platform for production machining of aluminum structural components, connector arrays, and fixture plates requiring multiple operations.
