Technical Description

The 2018 Hwacheon VESTA 2000 BT40 is a 3-axis vertical machining center engineered for large-part machining with an expansive 2,000-millimeter (78.7-inch) X-axis travel and a wide 33.5-inch by 78.7-inch worktable accommodating table loads up to 3,968 pounds. The machine provides 78.7-inch X-axis travel, 33.5-inch Y-axis travel, and 31.5-inch Z-axis travel. The BT 40 spindle is available in 10,000, 12,000, or 15,000 RPM configurations with 24.8 horsepower continuous output, providing flexibility for high-speed aluminum machining as well as steel and cast iron applications. High rapid traverse rates of 945 inches per minute across all axes minimize non-cutting time during large-part machining cycles. A standard 30-tool automatic tool changer enables multi-operation machining without operator intervention. The machine is equipped with a Fanuc 0i-MF Plus CNC control, providing reliable servo performance and full G-code compatibility for complex large-part programs. The machine measures approximately 235 inches long by 146 inches wide by 144 inches tall with a machine weight of approximately 27,998 pounds. The VESTA 2000 BT40 is well suited for aerospace structural components, large fixture machining, die and mold work, and general heavy manufacturing applications requiring large X-axis travel with BT 40 tooling compatibility and Fanuc CNC reliability.
