Technical Description

The 2013 Hyundai WIA F500 is a 3-axis vertical machining center engineered for high-productivity machining of mid-to-large prismatic components. The machine provides a 47.2" x 19.7" worktable with X/Y/Z travels of 42.1", 20.4", and 25.1", delivering a versatile machining envelope for mold, die, fixture, and general production work. The CAT40 spindle reaches 10,000 RPM driven by a 30 HP continuous motor, providing robust cutting capability across ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A 30-tool ATC enables extensive multi-operation machining capability without tool changeover delays. The Fanuc i Series CNC control provides rigid tapping, high-speed contouring, macro programming, and an operator-friendly interface proven across a broad range of production applications. Rapid traverse rates of 36 m/min on X/Y and 30 m/min on Z minimize non-cutting repositioning time during multi-operation cycles. Box guideway construction on all three axes delivers the rigidity and thermal stability required for consistent dimensional accuracy and surface quality. Maximum table load is 1,764 lbs. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 158" x 100" x 118" with a machine weight of approximately 17,000 lbs. The F500 is the mid-platform offering in Hyundai WIA's F-series vertical machining center lineup, combining generous table capacity, 10,000 RPM spindle performance, and a compact footprint for general-purpose three-axis vertical machining.
