Technical Description

The 2015 Hyundai WIA iCUT380TD is a 3-axis high-speed dual-pallet tapping center designed for maximum throughput in small-part, high-volume production environments. The machine incorporates a twin-pallet automatic pallet changer with each pallet measuring 25.6" x 15.7", enabling continuous spindle uptime as one pallet is machined while the operator loads and unloads on the alternate. Axis travels measure 20.5" in X, 14.2" in Y, and 13.8" in Z, optimized for compact aluminum, brass, and non-ferrous components. The BT30 spindle reaches 12,000 RPM driven by a 10 HP motor, with rapid traverse rates of 50 m/min on X/Y and 56 m/min on Z enabling extremely fast cycle times between operations. A standard 14-tool ATC -- with a 24-tool twin-arm option -- supports multi-operation capability within each pallet cycle. The Fanuc i Series CNC control (with Siemens 828D optional) provides rigid tapping, high-speed machining cycles, and a proven operator interface. Overall machine dimensions are 67.7" x 124.0" x 97.8", with a machine weight of 11,464 lbs. The iCUT380TD is ideally suited to cellular manufacturing lines, unmanned production cells, and transfer-type operations where minimizing non-cut time is essential to achieving target cycle rates.
