A+Technical Description
The 2024 MECOF DYNAMILL 3000 is a 5-axis gantry-type bridge milling center designed for large-scale precision machining of structural components, molds, dies, and aerospace parts. MECOF, an Italian manufacturer with decades of experience in high-productivity machine tool engineering, developed the DYNAMILL 3000 as a configurable platform accommodating workpiece envelopes up to 5,000 x 3,000 mm on the standard table, with extended configurations reaching 8,000 mm in X. The machine's X/Y/Z linear travels of 216.5, 118.1, and 59.1 inches provide exceptional versatility for large-format part families. The dual-head architecture is a defining feature: an orthogonal spindle head delivers up to 22 kW (approximately 29.5 HP) for heavy roughing at up to 3,000 RPM, while an optional TWIN 15 electro-spindle head extends capability to 24,000 RPM for high-speed finishing. The A-axis rotates ±110 degrees for full five-sided access in a single setup. The Fidia M20 CNC control, with optional Siemens integration, provides simultaneous 5-axis motion with high-speed look-ahead interpolation. A 24-tool automatic tool changer supports extended unattended cycles. At approximately 30,000 kg (66,139 lbs), the DYNAMILL 3000 offers the structural rigidity required for cutting aerospace-grade titanium and high-strength steel alloys to tight tolerances.
