Technical Description

The 2016 ROMI D600 is a 3-axis vertical machining center manufactured by Brazilian builder Romi, designed for precision milling, drilling, and tapping of small-to-medium components in production environments. The 33.1" x 19.7" worktable supports loads up to 1,764 lbs and provides a stable surface for a wide range of production fixtures. Axis travels of 23.6" in X, 20.9" in Y, and 22.8" in Z define a balanced 3-axis cutting envelope. The ISO 40-taper spindle delivers 20 HP at up to 8,000 RPM, providing capable torque for steel and aluminum machining at moderate depths of cut. The machine is available with either Fanuc 0i-MF or Siemens SINUMERIK 828D CNC. A 20-tool ATC supports multi-operation production setups. The machine has an overall footprint of approximately 106" x 102" x 105" tall and weighs approximately 11,023 lbs. The D600 is well-suited to job shops and production facilities machining aluminum, steel, and cast iron components in general manufacturing and precision parts production.
