The lathe’s construction includes a wide 27.5-inch fully ribbed closed grain cast iron bed with induction-hardened and precision ground bedways, providing excellent rigidity and durability for precision turning operations. The headstock contains a forged, chrome alloy spindle supported by three precision bearings, dynamically balanced and anti-friction mounted for smooth operation.
