Technical Description

The 2014 Toyoda FV1165 is a 3-axis fixed-bridge vertical machining center designed for high-production machining of medium to large components in automotive, aerospace, and heavy manufacturing industries. Manufactured by JTEKT Machinery, the FV1165 is part of the FV series bridge VMC lineup, which combines heavy box guideway construction with a fixed-bridge, moving-table architecture for exceptional rigidity and damping. The work table measures 51.2" x 25.6" with a maximum table load capacity of approximately 2,425 lbs. Axis travels of 43.3" in X, 25.6" in Y, and 23.6" in Z define the cutting envelope. The spindle achieves a maximum speed of 8,000 RPM with 20 to 25 HP of continuous spindle power for standard CAT 40 tooling, with CAT 50 available as an option. A 30-tool automatic tool changer is standard with a 40-tool option available, and the chip-to-chip tool change time is 3 seconds. Rapid traverse rates of 1,181 ipm in X and Y and 945 ipm in Z support efficient part-to-part cycle times. The Fanuc 0i-MF CNC control provides a modern operator interface with high-speed processing, AI contour control, and comprehensive G-code and macro programming support. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 169.6" long x 160.2" wide x 115.7" high. Machine weight is approximately 15,873 lbs. The FV1165 is a proven high-production VMC widely used in transfer line and flexible manufacturing cell applications.
