Technical Description

The 2022 Toyoda RB212 is a 3-axis double-column bridge mill designed for heavy-duty precision machining of large, complex workpieces in aerospace, energy, mold and die, and heavy equipment manufacturing. Manufactured by JTEKT Machinery, the RB212 employs a fixed double-column bridge structure with a moving table and linear roller guideway systems, providing extremely high rigidity and thermal stability for demanding large-part applications. The work table measures 78.7" x 43.3" with axis travels of 83.5" in X, 47.2" in Y, and 31.5" in Z. The two-speed geared spindle achieves a maximum speed of 6,000 RPM with 25 HP of continuous power, accommodating CAT 50 tooling through a 32-tool automatic tool changer. The Fanuc 31i-MB CNC control provides the standard operator interface; a 5-axis configuration with a trunnion rotary/tilt table is available, in which case the machine runs a Fanuc 31i-B5 control. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 232" long x 140" wide x 160" high. Machine weight is approximately 39,600 lbs. The RB212 is suited to applications requiring simultaneous large part coverage, high table load capacity, and the structural rigidity of a fixed double-column architecture for precision machining of aerospace structural components, large molds, energy sector equipment, and heavy industry parts.
