Technical Description

The 2023 YCM C10 is a 3-axis vertical machining center produced by Yeong Chin Machinery Industries of Taiwan, representing YCM’s contemporary high-performance compact VMC platform. Built on a rigid delta-shaped column casting, the C10 delivers superior structural stiffness that minimizes vibration and thermal deflection during aggressive cutting cycles. The machine offers X/Y/Z travels of 40.2 x 23.6 x 23.6 inches and a working table of 44.1 x 25.6 inches with a maximum load capacity of 2,205 lbs. The CAT-40 spindle operates up to 15,000 RPM with a Fanuc MXP-200FB+ control, enabling high-speed contouring in aluminum, titanium, and hardened steels. A 30-station automatic tool changer with fast tool-to-tool change time supports complex multi-step production programs. YCM’s isolated direct-drive (IDD) spindle design uses ceramic bearings and a coaxial motor-spindle coupling for low vibration, extended tool life, and excellent surface finish across the full speed range. Rigid tapping, Ethernet DNC, and full enclosure with chip management are standard. The C10 platform is also offered in C10DM and C10HS high-speed variants, reflecting YCM’s commitment to versatility within the platform family. The machine is well suited to job shops, medical, aerospace, and automotive subcontractors requiring a compact, high-throughput 3-axis VMC.
