Technical Description

The Accuway UM-110H is a 3-axis vertical machining center built on a one-piece Meehanite cast bed that is heat-treated to relieve internal stresses and resist structural creep during extended production cycles. The UM-110H is the high-performance variant of the UM-110 family, distinguished by its roller linear guideway system and higher-output spindle drive. Axis travels measure 1,100mm (43.3") in X, 550mm (21.7") in Y, and 550mm (21.7") in Z, with spindle nose-to-table distance ranging from 150mm to 700mm. The 1,200mm × 600mm (47.2" × 23.6") worktable carries a maximum load of 1,200 kg (2,646 lbs) and features five 18mm T-slots at 100mm pitch. All axes run on 45mm diameter ball screws with direct-coupled servo drives for near-zero backlash. The spindle delivers 15/18.5 kW (continuous/30-min) with a standard maximum speed of 10,000 RPM via belt drive on a BT40 taper. An optional direct-drive upgrade raises spindle speed to 12,000 RPM for high-speed finishing applications. Rapid traverse is 30 m/min (1,181 IPM) on all three axes. The standard 24-tool arm-type ATC accommodates tools up to 75mm diameter and 300mm length; optional 30- or 32-tool magazines are available with tool-to-tool change times under 2 seconds. Standard equipment includes a Fanuc 0i-M control with AICC II contouring, rigid tapping, spindle oil cooling, and a 4-bar coolant system. Options include coolant-through-spindle at 20 bar, Heidenhain linear scales, workpiece touch probe, and a 4th-axis interface. Overall machine footprint is 3.0m × 2.2m (L×W) with a height of 3.0m and a net weight of 7,500 kg (16,535 lbs).
