2006 ACER VMC2040L VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2006 Acer VMC2040L is a 3-axis vertical machining center with specifications identical to the 2005 build year. It offers 40 inches of X-axis travel, 20 inches of Y-axis travel, and 20 inches of Z-axis travel on a 42.1-by-19.6-inch worktable. The spindle generates 15 HP peak (10 HP S1 continuous) through a CAT-40 taper at a maximum speed of 8,000 RPM. A 24-station side-mount automatic tool changer and Anilam 6000M CNC control are standard, with rapid traverse at 945 IPM. Box-way construction provides the rigidity required for high-metal-removal-rate operations in steel, cast iron, and aluminum. Standard equipment includes chip auger, flood coolant system, automatic lubrication, and full enclosure guarding. Machine weight is approximately 12,100 pounds. The 2006 VMC2040L represents a continuation of this proven platform with no material specification changes from the preceding year, remaining one of Acer's most capable and commercially successful machining centers during the mid-2000s production period.
