Technical Description

The Atrump E216 Maxi-Mill is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Atrump Machinery Inc., designed as a compact, high-value VMC for job shops and toolrooms requiring full machining center capability in a small footprint. The E216 features a BT-40 or CAT-40 spindle taper with a 7.5 HP inverter motor and a maximum spindle speed of 6,000 RPM. Axis travels are 26 inches in X, 16.1 inches in Y, and 20.1 inches in Z. A 16-tool armless automatic tool changer enables flexible multi-operation machining sequences. The machine is controlled by a Centroid M-400S CNC system with 15-inch LCD display, providing full G-code and conversational programming including rigid tapping, canned cycles, and high-speed lookahead processing. Box-way construction on all axes provides rigidity and damping for a variety of materials from aluminum to stainless steel. Overall machine footprint is compact and suitable for shops with limited floor space. Standard equipment includes hardened and ground box-ways with Turcite-B coating, class C3 ballscrews, programmable flood coolant, automatic lubrication, USB and Ethernet file transfer, and full enclosure guarding. The E216 represents Atrump's value proposition of combining Centroid's proven control technology with solid Taiwanese mechanical construction.
