Technical Description

The AWEA LP5021 is a 3-axis large-format gantry-type vertical machining center from AWEA Mechantronic Co., Ltd., representing one of the largest machines in the LP series with approximately 5,000 mm (196.9 inches) of X-axis travel and approximately 2,100 mm (82.7 inches) of Y-axis travel. The moving bridge traverses the full length of the fixed worktable, enabling single-setup machining of very large aerospace structural panels, large automotive stamping dies, energy sector components, and oversized mold bases. The LP5021 spindle features a CAT-50 or HSK interface with a high-power gearbox-coupled motor and a Fanuc or Siemens CNC control system. A large tool magazine with high-speed arm-type ATC is standard, enabling complex multi-operation part programs on large workpieces. Standard equipment includes through-spindle coolant, high-pressure coolant option, heavy-duty chip conveyor, automatic lubrication, thermal compensation, and full enclosure. The LP5021 represents AWEA's capability in the ultra-large gantry machining segment and is positioned for industries where work envelope limitations of standard VMCs are a production bottleneck.
