A+Technical Description
The AWEA SP4016 is a 3-axis bridge-type vertical machining center from AWEA Mechantronic Co., Ltd.'s SP series, representing one of the largest models in this lineup with approximately 4,000 mm (157.5 inches) of X-axis travel and 1,600 mm (63 inches) of Y-axis travel. The fixed-table, symmetric moving-bridge design enables single-setup machining of extremely long workpieces while maintaining the thermal symmetry and structural stiffness required for precision finishing operations. The spindle features a BT-50 or CAT-50 taper interface with a high-power motor, speeds of 8,000 RPM standard with higher-speed options, and a Fanuc 31i-MB CNC control with a large-capacity tool magazine and arm-type ATC. Standard equipment includes flood coolant, through-spindle coolant, high-capacity chip conveyor, automatic lubrication, and full enclosure. The SP4016 is designed for the largest-scale aerospace, automotive, and energy-sector components where X-axis travel exceeds the capability of all but the largest gantry machining centers.
