Technical Description

The 2010 Chiron MPS15 is a multi-axis CNC profiling and machining station from Chiron Group SE of Tuttlingen, Germany, based on the larger Series 15 platform. The MPS (Multi-Profile Station) designation indicates a specialized configuration for machining extruded profiles, structural sections, and bar stock with complex cross-sections, using synchronized NC rotary axes to guide and present the workpiece to the machining spindle. This architecture supports machining of aluminum extrusions, structural sections, and round bar stock with complex features across multiple faces in a single continuous program. The machine supports 5 or more simultaneous CNC axes including the linear X, Y, and Z axes plus synchronized profile-rotation axes.
