Technical Description

The 1998 Cincinnati Arrow 1000 is a 3-axis CNC vertical machining center manufactured by Cincinnati Milacron of Cincinnati, Ohio, representing the mid-size platform in the highly regarded Arrow series. The CAT-40 spindle delivers 15 HP and reaches a maximum speed of 8,000 RPM across a 60 to 8,000 RPM range. The work table measures 44 x 20 inches with a 1,540 lb table load capacity, and axis travels extend 40 inches in X, 20 inches in Y, and 22 inches in Z. Rapid traverse reaches 787 IPM. A 21-tool ATC supports efficient multi-operation production cycles. Control is provided by the Cincinnati Acramatic 2100E CNC system, a PC-based platform offering excellent operator ergonomics and robust production programming capability. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 138 x 118 x 109 inches and the machine weighs approximately 9,925 lbs (4,500 kg). The Arrow 1000 is one of the most widely deployed Cincinnati VMCs of its era and is well-regarded for rigidity, thermal stability, and long service life in demanding production environments. Parts and service support remain broadly available. The machine is suited for general production machining, mold and die work, fixture manufacturing, and contract machining in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
