Technical Description

The 2010 Doosan DCM 3260 is a 3-axis double-column machining center designed for machining exceptionally large and heavy workpieces to close tolerances. The double-column bridge architecture provides maximum structural rigidity and thermal stability, enabling productive heavy cutting and precise finishing operations on the same platform. The fixed-bridge, moving-table configuration keeps the cutting head geometry stable regardless of the mass or distribution of the workpiece on the table. The worktable measures 228.3 inches by 106.3 inches (5,800 mm x 2,700 mm) with a table load capacity of 85,980 pounds (39,000 kg). Axis travels span 246.1 inches (X), 145.7 inches (Y), and 27.56 inches (Z), providing an exceptionally large working envelope. Spindle power of 35 HP continuous drives cutting at speeds up to 6,000 RPM via a CAT50 spindle taper. The 40-position ATC enables multi-operation sequences without operator intervention. The Fanuc 31i-B CNC control provides full contouring, rigid tapping, and optional 5-face machining capability via a rotary attachment. Standard features include through-spindle coolant, telescopic way covers, central lubrication, and chip management systems. The DCM 3260 is optimized for the energy, heavy equipment, aerospace, and large-mold industries, where oversized components must meet tight dimensional and surface finish requirements.
