A+Technical Description
The 2014 Doosan DMV 3016L is a 3-axis vertical machining center offering an extended worktable and enhanced chip management compared to the standard DMV 3016. Built on the same rigid C-frame platform, the 3016L is optimized for production machining of small to medium prismatic parts requiring a longer table for fixturing multiple components or extended workpieces. The wide-span linear guideways provide high rigidity and damping across the full axis range. The worktable measures 39.4 inches by 17.7 inches (1,000 mm x 450 mm) with axis travels of 30 inches (X), 16 inches (Y), and 20 inches (Z). The CAT40 spindle delivers 15 HP continuous power at up to 8,000 RPM, supported by precision bearing preloads. Rapid traverse rates of 1,181 IPM (X/Y) and 945 IPM (Z) keep non-cutting time to a minimum. The machine is controlled by a Fanuc CNC system supporting full contouring, rigid tapping, and tool life management. A 24-position ATC enables multi-operation sequences. The 3016L includes enhanced coolant and chip handling suited to high-material-removal applications in automotive, aerospace, and precision manufacturing environments. Machine weight is approximately 12,320 pounds with a floor space of approximately 117 inches by 96 inches.
