Technical Description

The 2022 Doosan DNM 350-5 is a 5-axis vertical machining center equipped with an integrated trunnion-style tilting rotary table for simultaneous 5-axis contouring of complex components. Sharing its architecture with the DNM 350/5AX platform, the DNM 350-5 is designed for precision machining of aerospace brackets, medical implants, turbine components, and complex mold features requiring multi-face or compound-angle machining in a single clamping. The integrated A/C-axis table eliminates secondary setups, improving geometric accuracy and reducing overall cycle time on complex parts. The integrated trunnion table offers a 13.8-inch (350 mm) rotary diameter with A-axis tilting and continuous C-axis rotation for full 5-axis simultaneous interpolation. Linear axis travels are 23.6 inches (X), 25.8 inches (Y), and 19.7 inches (Z). The CAT40 spindle delivers 25 HP of continuous cutting power at speeds up to 12,000 RPM, with a 60-position automatic tool changer supporting extensive multi-operation programs. The Fanuc 31i-B CNC provides simultaneous 5-axis interpolation, AICC high-speed contouring, rigid tapping, and full 3D tool compensation for complex surface geometries. Standard features include through-spindle coolant, Renishaw probing system, chip conveyor, and full machine enclosure. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 126 inches long by 124 inches wide by 126 inches high, with a machine weight of approximately 18,739 pounds (8,500 kg).
